PUBG Global Championship 2019

Oversaw entire PUBG Global Championship 2019 designs and animations. My responsibilities were Stage Design, Logo, Key Arts, Broadcast Design and Animation, OOH Marketing, Onsite Activation designs, and Trophy & Medal Designs.

This project was a major undertaking due to having 2 separate stages over 3 weekends of the event. Multiple graphics packages had to be designed for optimal viewership experience, which included 2 broadcast packages. The event reached over 60 million concurrent on all platforms during the event.

PUBG Nations Cup 2019

Oversaw entire PUBG Nations Cup 2019 Designs. My responsibilities were Stage Design, Logo, Key Arts, Broadcast Design and Animation, OOH Marketing & Onsite Activations.

I also worked with our sponsors and how best to integrate into the PUBG IP for their marketing. And approved all of their marketing for PNC, The event reached a total of 682 articles with an estimated reach of 1.1+ Billion UVPM. The event reached over 40 million peak concurrent over all platforms during the Event.

PUBG: Season 9

For Season 9, we wanted to shake things up a bit and try a few different approaches from the feedback we received last season.

We decided to go out of the norm and really push color and texture into PUBG style for the season. Incorporating yellows, reds, purples into the mix.

The main feature of this season was the new map Paramo a volcano map roughly located in South America. We pulled a lot of influences from Inca designs with a modern twist.

PUBG Stadia Launch

My team was in charge of branding our new release on Google Stadia! Our main challenge was to integrate Stadia’s branding and identity into our own in a meaningful way.

This included Box Art for our “Pioneer Edition”, advising our external partners on design aesthetics for html5 Ad Banners and creating the metadata that would be featured inside the Stadia Storefront.

PUBG: Season 7

My team was in charge of global branding for our seasonal content and designing the key arts that would best serve publishings marketing initiatives.

I working with the Marketing team for the Survivor Pass name’s visual identity. Pulling from key elements that we felt best reflected the new Vikendi. And tieing major themes that we could weave a design narrative around the lockup.

We decided for this season we would focus on Dinopark and design around new vs old by including the finch that we used for the original reveal of Vikendi and a Pterodactyl to represent the new Dinopark.

We aimed for a bold and expressive season instead of our standard muted pallet ranges. And saw an overwhelming response from that the past season.

PUBG: Season 6

My team was in charge of branding our seasonal content and designing the compositions and colors of our Key Art that would best serve publishings marketing initiatives.

Worked with the marketing team for the Survivor Pass’s name visual identity. Identifying major themes that we could weave a design narrative around. We went for a more graphical look for Season 6, with simplistic colors and a clean but gritty feel. Lessons learned from previous seasons we designed and animated the season 6 logos for our Patch Report videos. This was also the first time we started styling our Corporate Identity logo with the theme of a season, which has now become a standard for seasonal content.

PUBG: Season 6 Comics

This was a new challenge, the IP team came to me and wanted to create a series of Animated Comics to tell the backstory of Karakin.

This project was a massive endeavor with Madefire, who assisted us in finding the artists/colorists to help tell this story. While directing the project I also designed the character “Oni” that was featured in Ep1 and 3. We also tied in an in-game community reward near the end of the season to drive up hype for the last episode. The community received the broken “Ogre Mask” and Oni’s Jacket.

This was the first season we marketing a Season over a Survivor Pass so we could assist our users in understand all the free and paid content that will be released within the next 3 months (Season). This was also our first time taking an active design stance updating out Game Thumbnail across all streaming platforms. Which proved beneficial and helped drive an increase in traffic to the game category.
